Grade
At the NFL Scouting Combine, the Los Angeles Rams granted Jonah Jackson permission to explore trade options, and a deal quickly materialized. According to ESPN, the Rams are sending the veteran offensive guard to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2025 NFL Draft pick.
Jackson’s time in Los Angeles lasted just one season after signing a three-year, $51 million contract in March 2024. The 28-year-old battled a shoulder injury early in the year, but even after recovering, he saw limited playing time as the Rams opted to keep him on the bench. Now, he gets a fresh start in Chicago.
Jackson was initially brought in to be the Rams’ starting left guard, but that role ultimately went to Steve Avila. After recovering from injury, the team considered moving him to center, but that transition never materialized. As a result, he started just four games during the 2024 season.
