One of the greatest MMA fighters to have ever lived, Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame and was living with family members at Caesars Palace to attend the event.
Jones was arrested when hotel security at Caesars called 911 when Jones’ youngest daughter requested help because of a dispute between Jones and her fiancé Jesse Moses. Although Moses’ face and clothing were stained with blood and his lips were also cracked, he claimed that the injuries were from chapped lips.
Arrest Footage
It’s been a tough week for Jon Jones. On Tuesday, the Las Vegas Police Department released bodycam footage of his September arrest for misdemeanor domestic battery, showing the former UFC champion in an unflattering light, to say the least. A day later, he announced on social media that his long-standing relationship with his fiancée had ended.
As he always does, “Bones” took to Twitter to express his reaction to these recent life episodes. First, he addressed the now-viral video of his arrest, where he referred to his arresting officers as “idiots” and was seen banging the head of a police car.
Body Cam
The former light-heavyweight champion was heard shouting insults and obscene words in Las Vegas therefore he was handcuffed in a disturbing police bodycam video obtained by the Las Vegas Review Journal. Firstly, Jones was being detained on suspicion of domestic violence when a security guard at Caesars Palace and then saw his fiancé, Jesse Moses, with bloody lips and blood on his clothes.
He became agitated and, before banging his head on the car, referred to a man as an ‘officer nerd’ and suggested that he was detained because of his race. As the 34-year-old became more agitated, officers proceeded to pacify him and put him in the car, with others inspecting the area that made an impact. According to a police report, Jones left a ‘medium-sized’ dent in the car.
