Arrest
The UFC star announced on Twitter on Wednesday that his fiancé Jesse Moses has left him. This was followed by bodycam footage of Jones’ arrest from last September, in which he beheaded a Las Vegas police officer on the night of his UFC Hall of Fame inductance.
Jones, 34, was charged with battery domestic violence and injuring and tampering with the vehicle.
“Why are you doing this?” Jones asks in a video obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “It’s so outrageous. I got to the Hall of Fame tonight, and then you’re gonna put me on this by walking me down the street.”
Jones calls an officer a “f-king nerd” repeatedly saying, “I hate you!”
He also accused the officers of racial profiling.
“Brother, hang me, hurt me and kill me. What did I do?” Jones says. “A black man can’t drink? That’s what got me elected to the Hall of Fame and?”
Jones later patted the hood of the police car on the head, causing a dent in it.
The arrest came after a report of domestic unrest on 24 September in which Moses reportedly told police that Jones laid his hand on him and his clothes were seen covered in blood. Jones reached a petition in December requesting no contest over the destruction of property, with the domestic violence charge being dismissed.
Fiancee
Born on September 12, 1987, Jesse Moses is the fiancee of Jon Jones. Growing up in New York, she graduated from Broome Community College in New York. Moses has maintained secrecy when it comes to him and his family life. She doesn’t seem to have a presence on Instagram and is rarely seen on her husband’s profile.
In 2014, Jones credited Sheila Ryan, mother of Jesse Moses, who helped him focus towards his goals –
“She was the first person who really taught me how to be more confident and confident and to focus my mind and my thoughts, positivity, goal-setting and things like that. She really taught me about meditation and imagination. I taught more about thinking great and thinking big”
Divorce
Jon Jones is a single man – the UFC superstar says his fiancé of 9 years, Jesse Moses, has left him for good after his Vegas arrest.
Jones announced the split via Twitter on Wednesday, saying, “My fiancé left me about two months ago, today she decided she wouldn’t return.”
Worth noting – the official breakup comes shortly after footage of Jones’ September run-in with the police was released…
“If you hate Jon Jones, take a toast, I guess s***,” he said.
Jones and Moses were together for almost 20 years – they were high school sweethearts at Union-Endicott High School in New York, briefly split, and then engaged in 2013.
Jones and Moses have three children together – two 13-year-olds Leah and Carmen and 9-year-old Olivia.
Arrested las vegas
Former UFC champion Jon Jones has struck a plea deal to settle a criminal case stemming from allegations that he had a scuffle with his fiancé at Caesars Palace nearly eight weeks ago and damaged a Las Vegas police vehicle.
Jones’ attorney, Peter Christiansen, declined to comment on a misdemeanor property damage allegation Tuesday on Jones’ no-contest plea on Thursday.
A Las Vegas judge ordered Jones to pay $750 in compensation and attend anger.
Jones was arrested before dawn on September 24 on domestic battery and damage to a vehicle charges, after allegedly grabbing his fiancée by her hair and breaking his head on the hood of a police patrol vehicle. A police report alleged that he left a dent and chipped paint.
Jones lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The night before his arrest, he attended the UFC Hall of Fame induction at the Park MGM Hotel.
Jones (26-1, 1 no-contest) had three stints as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion from 2011 to 2020. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in MMA history.
But he has fought only eight times in recent years due to arrests, suspensions and disputes with the UFC. He defeated Dominic Reyes in February 2020 but relinquished the light heavyweight title last year.
