The 34-year-old Geelong captain and his wife revealed the upcoming birth on social media after years of fertility struggles.
“Our dreams have come true,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Joel and I are grateful to be able to share that we have a little baby coming into the world. We cannot make this announcement without acknowledging those who are struggling with infertility or loss.
“I know how much my heart breaks every time I see a pregnancy post and if you’re feeling like this right now my heart is really out for you. These past few years have changed me forever.
“For anyone who has just lost hope, I’ve been there and I’m thinking of you, and I hope that one day soon, you will find your miracle.”
