Milton has said in the past that the furthest he has ever thrown a football is over 90 yards. Apparently, strength of hand was not always Milton’s forte. “I know my arm wasn’t as strong growing up,” Milton said while speaking with Patriots reporters Saturday afternoon.

Highlights

Accuracy

However, Milton is a robotic thrower of sorts. He consistently struggles to find and adjust to the throwing platform after his first read, although there are little glimpses of him doing so.

Milton is also largely wrong, especially in the area below. The closer the throws are to the line of scrimmage, Milton’s sheer velocity and lack of touch is a liability rather than a gift.

Additionally, Milton comes from a Tennessee offense that demanded little of him as a passer. A large portion of the offense was built on screens, RPOs and simplified vertical reads. As an NFL-level processor and decision-maker, Milton requires a lot of projections.
