Breaking news

Former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco is working out Friday for the Cleveland Browns, who are still dealing with their changing quarterback situation, a person familiar with the trip told The Associated Press.

Flacco, 38, could be an option for the Browns, who lost Deshaun Watson for the season due to a fractured right shoulder earlier this week.

Flacco was the only QB being worked out at the team facility Friday because the club never publicly discloses a player’s workouts, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Flacco led the New York Jets to an improbable comeback win over the Browns last season. He’s not on either roster in 2023, but he’s left the possibility of a return open and Cleveland desperately needs that.
