Urban Meyer:
Burrow wasn’t exactly a high-profile recruit. He was a four-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, but a relatively low-rated one. Meyer discussed Burrow’s development, both at Ohio State and after.
“He has arguably one of the best mindsets I’ve ever seen in an athlete, his toughness,” Meyer said. “He’ll tell you he was highly recruited, he wasn’t. He comes from an incredible family. It’s just a very, very close family, a football family.

Injury:
The rest of his offseason was not particularly packed with fun. Part of that was by design; part of that wasn’t. It has been nine months since he tore his ACL and MCL, ending his Bengals rookie season. He brought his trainer with him on vacation. He was deeply serious. “Every workout to me was life or death,” Burrow said. “Go in there, no matter what you’re feeling. Knee hurts, body hurts, mind not up to it—you’ve got to get the work done.
