Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow posted one of his worst NFL games on Sunday as nothing really went right for the offense. He passed for a career-low 82 yards on 14-31 from the field.
He discussed the outing with the media after the season-opening 24–3 loss at Cleveland.
“Obviously, not up to our standard,” Burrows said. “It’s not up to my standard, but over 16, so just going to keep trucking.”
Burrow and offense were clearly affected by the rain throughout the game, but that’s no excuse when Cleveland scored 24 points in similar conditions.
“It’s representative of the elements that you don’t get a lot of and you survive and learn from it,” Burrows said.
