Injury update
In the final minutes of the Cincinnati Bengals’ 34–31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs to clinch the AFC North, Joe Burrow was injured and taken off the field. This paved the way for Brandon Allen to step into the sport and take the final few photos for the team in the most significant victory in many years.
After the division win, Buro spoke to the media and informed everyone about his injury. He said he was deeply saddened after being injured in the loss to the Chargers, but it was nothing serious.
The Bengals knew they were going to take a knee and then spike the ball to set up Ewan McPherson’s field goal, so there was no good reason to bring Burrow back. Allen was more than capable of handling those two photos and so did he.

It’s little surprise that Burrow isn’t playing if he’s capable. While Bengal have won the AFC North, the No. 1 seed in the AFC is yet to be officially claimed. While it is a long shot, there is a way for Bengal to beat that No. 1 seed, which includes home-field advantages and first-round byes.
All of these things have to happen this weekend, so that the Bengals can be that top seed, and some are likely to be far more than others:
The Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos.
The Tennessee Titans lost to the Houston Texans.
The New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins or the Buffalo Bills beat the New York Jets.
Running after Joe Mixon will also reportedly miss Sunday’s game, but not for the rest. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Mixon is expected to be added to the reserve/COVID-19 list soon.

Burrow managed to drop his team 28–17 down in the second half to secure a comeback win and officially acquire AFC North. He completed 30-in-39 passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns, and his huge day was due in large part to receiver Jammer Chase’s play, with 11 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
