With their 34-31 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Bengals have won the AFC North Division title for the first time since 2015. During the game, Buro appeared to injure his knee by the end of the fourth and one game with a touchdown. The play resulted in a Chiefs penalty, extending the Bengals’ drive, but at the potential cost of their young star quarterback.

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals faced their biggest test of all time this Sunday when the Kansas City chiefs came to the city. It was a great game through three quarters and the Bengals pulled back from a two-touchdown deficit to score only four points at the start of the fourth quarter.
While driving to take the lead, Burrow fell back and quickly burst through the line with All-Pro DT Chris Jones. Burrow stepped up to avoid Jones and managed to squeeze a few yards out of the broken play. In the process, Jones managed to rip off Burrow’s nameplate and the quarterback of the second year played the rest of the drive without his name on his jersey.The year is 2021 and for some reason the NFL is still using the nameplate. You’d think that the jerseys Buro actually wears would have the same quality as those sold in merchant stores outside the stadium, but hey, what do we know, right?

Cincinnati fans can enjoy the festivities without worrying about their quarterback. Burrow said he felt “quite well” after the game and confirmed that his right knee hurt. His rookie season ended in November 2020 when he tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee.
It was my right knee that got a little sore after the Chargers game (at week 13) I think it was, so (I) re-stretched it a bit. Nothing serious,” Burrow said.
Bengals fans certainly have reason to be concerned about his health this season. Burrow entered the week after being dismissed 47 times, the most in the NFL. The Chiefs added four more to Sunday’s total. Burrow extended his “lead” over Ryan Tanhill of the Titans, who is on 46 after Tennessee’s 34-3 win over the Dolphins. No other quarterback has been dismissed more than 38 times this season.
Burrow has endeared himself to Cincinnati fans since he was first drafted in 2020. This season, he holds Cincinnati records with 34 passing touchdowns and 4,611 passing yards. The Bengals on Sunday won their first AFC North title since 2015 and defeated both the Ravens and Steelers in the same season for the first time since 2009.
