Jimmy Graham arrest

New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was arrested and taken into custody on Friday on two misdemeanor charges, according to TMZ Sports.

Police said they responded to a call regarding a man operating erratically in Southern California and arrested Graham on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after spotting him walking into traffic.

The second misdemeanor charge Graham is facing is resisting, delaying and obstructing a police officer after allegedly resisting an initial arrest.

However, the Saints issued a statement explaining that the 36-year-old was “confused” due to a “medical episode”. A doctor who evaluated him at the hospital believed that the condition was caused by a seizure.

Graham and the Saints are in Southern California for combined practice ahead of Sunday’s preseason game with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The NFL is monitoring Hurricane Hillary as it approaches the West Coast but has not made any changes to scheduled games, although Major League Baseball has rescheduled three separate games scheduled for Sunday in Southern California.

As far as Graham is concerned, he is set to return to the NFL in the 2023 season after sitting out the 2022 campaign. He played for New Orleans during his first five seasons in the league from 2010 to 2014.

The tight end has since played for the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

New Orleans, which signed Graham to a one-year deal this offseason, is set to begin its regular season on Sept. 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

Jimmy Graham arrest: Seizure| What happened to| Drugs

Former Seattle Seahawks Jimmy Graham was arrested Friday while roaming the streets of Los Angeles on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, an incident now believed to be the result of Graham’s seizure.

According to law enforcement officials, the arrest, which occurred after Graham allegedly resisted, delayed and obstructed a police officer, took place near a Southern California resort.

Graham, 36 and a five-time Pro Bowler — two of them with the Seahawks — now plays for the New Orleans Saints, who are in LA for a weekend preseason meeting with the Chargers. And the team is now saying that he suffered due to a medical episode.

The Saints issued a statement as of Saturday afternoon saying the tight end suffered a “potential concussion.”

The team said, “New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham experienced a medical episode … as a result of which he was concussed.” “He was taken into custody by local authorities and taken to a local hospital for evaluation for what Dr. John Amos treated as a possible seizure and spent the night under medical supervision and testing.

“Amos visited Graham in hospital and is overseeing his care at this time. He was released this morning and is with the team as they continue to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Graham, who is working to revive his career after being ruled out of the 2022 season, has been released by police and the incident remains under investigation.

The Saints will remain in California to prepare for their pre-season match against the Chargers at Sophie Stadium on Sunday, although the game could be affected due to Hurricane Hillary headed for that part of the state.

He was taken into custody by local authorities and taken to a local hospital for evaluation for what Dr. John Amos believes to be a possible seizure and spent the entire night under medical supervision and tests.
