Jimmy Butler III (born September 14, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a year playing college basketball for Tyler Junior College, he transferred to Marquette University. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls as the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. If he maintains such numbers, he will be involved in the MVP conversation, especially if Miami finishes near the top of the Eastern Conference.
Heat coach Eric Spoelstra will have to decide when Butler is out. He could have kept guard Tyler Herrow, who had been on fire for most of the season in the starting lineup, but that would reduce the second unit on playmaking. If Spoelstra chooses to stay with Herro as the sixth man, expect Gabe Vincent or Caleb Martin to replace Butler. This would hand the more aggressive responsibility to Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo. Either way, expect more of a two-man game between Adebayo and sharpshooter Duncan Robinson.
