Jim Harbaugh: Is leaving michigan| To chicago bears| Sucks
Is leaving Michigan:
2021 was the year that the last few people who believed in Jim Harbaugh at Michigan finally gave up. In 2015, the former Pro Bowl quarterback and NFL Coach of the Year ditched the pros with hopes of leading the Wolverines to greatness.
He seemed like the perfect person for the job: Not only had Harbaugh once been a first-team All–Big Ten QB at Michigan, but he also loved doing things like ordering whole milk at restaurants and saying that people shouldn’t eat chickens because they’re a “nervous bird.”
To Chicago Bears:
This sort of 1890s-ass behavior hearkened back to an era when Michigan was a college football juggernaut, and presumably was the key to unlocking the once-powerful program Ohio State had left in the dust.
The Chicago Bears selected Jim Harbaugh in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft, taking him 26th overall. He played for legendary head coach Mike Ditka. Harbaugh threw 50 touchdowns and 56 interceptions for the Bears, finishing his tenure in Chicago with a 35-30 record (. 538).
Sucks:
Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair lives in Georgia, and, at least in the past, openly rooted for the Bulldogs. He helped hype up the team back in 2018 ahead of the College Football Playoff.
He also was a celebrity guest picker when the Bulldogs took on Notre Dame in 2019, picking Georgia to win. But in Friday night’s CFP semifinal, he isn’t rolling with UGA. Why?
Well, for one, he has a friendship with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. But that doesn’t appear to be the sole reason. Flair took to Twitter on Friday morning to call out Georgia head coach Kirby Smart for—as he claims—not shaking his hand when he was standing next to former Bulldogs running back Herschel Walker in Athens. He clearly feels disrespected by the incident.
