Jessica Diggins (born August 26, 1991) is an American cross-country skier. She and her partner Kikkan Randall won the United States’ first cross-country skiing gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in team sprint. At the 2022 Winter Olympics, Diggins won a silver medal in the 30 kilometer freestyle and a bronze medal in the individual sprint, making him the most decorated American cross-country skier of all time. She has also won four medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in her career. In 2021, Diggins topped the women’s overall standings for the 2020-21 FIS Cross-Country World Cup, becoming the first American to do so.

Diggins established himself in the top three after getting into the right position to bounce back in the home stretch. She applied power on the ice and lived up to Billing with teammate Rosie Brennan, who finished fourth. Diggins crossed the finish line with a final time of 3:12.84. In the women’s individual sprint, defending world champion Jona Sunderling of Sweden won Olympic gold with a time of 3:09.68 and took a significant lead in the second half of the final.
