According to CNN affiliate WFAA, 25-year-old Gladney was among the two people who died in the crash. CNN has reached out to Gladney’s agent for comment.

According to a news release from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 2:30 and involved two vehicles. Preliminary investigation found that a white vehicle was coming at high speed and hit another vehicle from behind.

The white vehicle lost control and hit a freeway pier beam, killing the man and woman inside, the release said. The second vehicle was also occupied by a man and woman, who were not injured.

Wife

Jeff Gladney, a former Minnesota cornerback, was never married and had never had a wife. He was accused of sexually abusing an ex-girlfriend in March 2022, but was acquitted.
