Jeff’s ex-girlfriend, whose identity has not been disclosed, accused him of abusing and beating her on a motorway trip for nearly two hours.

According to USA Today, the abuse began on April 1, 2021, when Jeff’s then-girlfriend looked at his phone and saw a text exchange with another woman. Jeff brought him $700 LV sunglasses, and his girlfriend recently paid for his haircut and gave him $50 via the Cash app.

A Texas court unanimously found Gladney not guilty of a felony charge. He wanted to resume his career with the Cardinals, who signed him as a free agent. A statement issued by his agency at the time of the March decision said Gladney was “in a good place.”

Gladney is the second young NFL star killed in a motor vehicle accident this offseason.
