Billiards star Jeanette Lee, better known as ‘Black Widow’, is battling cancer in Tampa
The pool champion’s agent has started a GoFundMe campaign for his kids.

Billiards champion Jeanette “Black Widow” Lee, the top-ranked player in the world in the 1990s, revealed in a news release Thursday that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer.

Lee’s agent Tom George confirmed the news by phone after the Asian Hall of Fame promoted a GoFundMe online fundraiser. Tampa resident Lee, who rose to fame through frequent ESPN appearances, is a motivator.

George said he and others started the fundraiser because 49-year-old Lee’s biggest source of concern since receiving her diagnosis several weeks ago is the well-being of their three daughters, Cheyenne, 16, Chloe, 11, and Savannah, 10.

Throughout her chemotherapy treatment, Lee has been grateful for the support of her close friends. “My girlfriends Jenny and Sonya brought me this beautiful orchid to give me strength during my fight! Thank you!” Lee announced in February that he had been diagnosed with advanced-stage disease, which he was determined to fight.

Professional billiards star Jeanette Lee and her husband, George Breedlove, are proud to announce the birth of their sixth child, Savannah Lee Breedlove. Savannah was born on August 31 and mother and daughter are healthy. Savannah is the first natural born child for the couple.

Lee and Breedlove are the definition of a modern blended family parenting. Savannah is the newest member of the family to join her sister, Chloe, who was born last October to a surrogate mother. The couple are also parents to an adopted child, Cheyenne , a foster child, John Kang as well as two daughters Morgan and Olivia  from Breedlove’s previous marriage.

“The ability to carry my own child was such an amazing experience and something I’ve always wanted,” Lee said. “George and I are very proud of our family and take great pleasure in raising our children in the best possible home environment. Savannah’s birth is truly a blessing to our family.”

A GoFundMe page maintained by Lee’s friends and family reveals that she has stage 4 ovarian cancer that has now spread to her lymph nodes. The GoFundMe page reads, “At this stage, her doctors say she has a few months to a year left to live. In typical Black Widow fashion, she vowed to fight the progression of her disease with both chemotherapy as much as possible.” that has already started, and a sequence of upcoming surgeries.”
