Scouting report

Beautiful touch on the deep ball with ideal scaffolding and the velocity of falling into a bucket.

– Mobile in and out of pocket. Can roll the throw both to his left and right with good accuracy.

– Releases the ball quickly with a high release point to limit swats.

– Has shown ability to handle games and lead his team to victory, as he did against Alabama in 2017.

– Sufficient but not surprising hand strength; Can throw field-side with guesswork.

Well-built, compact player with enough agility and athleticism to pull and throw out of pocket.

—the tough, no-bull quarterback who fought behind one of the nation’s worst offensive lines in 2018.

The 2017 and 2018 tapes looked like two different quarterbacks; Did not take the next step in its development as expected.

—not trusting his lineman to take the blitz, which leads to sacks, poor pre-snap reads and takes his eyes off his receiver.

Damages himself while scrambling and often tries to play the role of the protagonist. Are their 2018 issues fixable or will it be a David Carr-type problem?

– Hesitant to take the ball out, afraid of being disappointed or failing because Auburn has had a bad season.

Jarrett Stidham has settled his offseason plans, as the New England Patriots quarterback welcomed his first child on Friday.

Stidham and his wife, Kennedy Stidham, announced the birth of Lennon Love Stidham in an Instagram post shared on Monday.

“Best day of our lives,” Stidham wrote after sharing the baby’s name and date of birth. “(Kennedy Stidham) very proud to have brought this little girl into this world. We love you baby.”

The child is a first for the couple, who met at Baylor (where Jarrett played before moving to Auburn, and was on the Kennedy football team). They were married in June 2019.

Net Worth

According to Spottrack, after Stidham was drafted, the Patriots soon signed him to a four-year contract worth a total of $3.15 million. That total included a $633,692 signing bonus and $633,692 in guaranteed money. His basic salary will gradually increase every year, reaching $965,000 in 2022. The relatively cheap contract gives New England the luxury of spending a few years assessing Stidham’s long-term talent.

Given Stidham’s relative novelty in the NFL, he hasn’t had time to amass a lot of money just yet. Still, his net worth has already managed to hit an estimated $1 million (according to PlayersWiki.com)—not bad when you consider all the luxury purchases that league rookies indulge in.

Salary

Quarterback Jarrett Stidham will be the final year of his rookie contract with his former offensive coordinator.

The New England Patriots have agreed to trade the 2019 fourth-round pick to head coach Josh McDaniels’ Las Vegas Raiders, as first reported by James Stewart of 98.5 The Sports Hub and Albert Breuer of TheMMQB on Thursday it was done.

New England will send the 2023 seventh-rounder to Las Vegas in exchange for the 2023 sixth-rounder as part of the deal.

Stidham appeared in eight career games during his Patriots tenure. He passed 48 of 24 for 270 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions through 100 snaps behind the center.

“Since he’s here, Stead has done a great job,” McDaniels said during a 2020 video conference. “He is a great kid and loves the game of football, works really hard, has put a lot of time and effort into his craft, and is a really selfless person. … He tends to help the team. Will do anything. Practices well, practices hard, prepares to go every week. I trust Jarrett a lot and I see a lot of growth in him every week that he’s here.”
