Jared Thomas Goff (born October 14, 1994) is an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in California, where he was a first-team All-Pac-12, and was selected first overall by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Jared Goff will look to secure the Detroit Lions’ first win of the 2021 season after a few close losses.
However, Goff and the Lions will face the Los Angeles Rams. Goff was traded from the Rams to the Lions in the off-season for Matthew Stafford. Both quarterbacks are facing their former teams for the first time and Goff opened up about how he feels about playing the Rams.

While he told reporters earlier in the week that he had no ill-will toward any coach or former teammate over the Rams, he admitted that he felt some disrespect in his final moments with Los Angeles.
“I put it in a nutshell, as I said, all of those will be fun to look at and fun to be there, and certainly inspire you. Of course, you have the chip side, I’ve talked about him There was some disrespect towards the end. There was some soreness at the end and you still feel it. You still have that chip on your shoulder,” Goff said Wednesday.

Kristen Harper, girlfriend of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, joined Sports Illustrated swimsuits in Miami, Fla., this weekend to walk the show in her first swim week.
Harper, who made it to this year’s swimsuit editions, has become a model largely because of Sports Illustrated.
“I can finally say that I am going to shoot SI Swimsuit! It has been a dream of my whole life,” Harper wrote on her Instagram page. “SI is the reason I became a model and for years I tried casting with him but never made it. Instead of just accepting it and moving on, I decided to take things into my own hands and pursue this dream myself.”
Salary
Goff and the Lions turned $20 million into a signing bonus out of his $26.5 million base salary for the 2021 season. Doing so frees up some major salary cap room for 2021, while pushing more dead money into the bookkeeping for subsequent seasons. The $20 million bonus is amortized over the remaining four years of the contract, so it’s an additional $5 million cap liability due each season through 2024.
For practical purposes, this ensures that Goff will remain with the Lions for at least the 2022 season. His dead cap figure for the 2022 campaign is now above $20 million. Even with the massive increase in the NFL salary cap, this is a huge pill to swallow. Again, the Rams and Eagles both paid more than $24 million in dead caps to dump quarterbacks (Goff and Carson Wentz) this off-season.
Contract
The Lions reinforced their commitment to Goff on Wednesday by performing a simple contract restructuring. ESPN reported that the Lions turned $20 million out of Goff’s $25.65 million base salary into a signing bonus this fall.
The move frees up $15 million in the current cap space—a $20 million bonus is pro-rata for cap purposes over the remaining four years on Goff’s contract—and enough to keep the Lions signing his draft class and handling any moves. Gives space that may arise in the meantime. Season.
This would leave the Lions with a huge dead money cap hit of $15 million, should they want to move on from Goff later this season.
Girlfriend
Like boyfriend Goff, Harper also took to the small screen in August as part of “Hard Knox,” HBO’s documentary chronicling NFL teams.
In one clip, Harper is seen at Goff’s Los Angeles home, where the fifth-year quarterback is practicing his golf swing at the “Goff Course.”
“I had this land here which was unusable. I was going to do a basketball court… but obviously there’s an injury risk with it, I just didn’t see myself going out there, playing basketball [like], I was like, ‘I’m like that kind of relationship. What can I do in Full House together,’ and I think it works,” Goff said.
