In what seems to be a tragic incident the Latvian basketball player Janis Timma was found dead and Russian media claim it was a suicide according to reports released earlier this week.
As claimed by TASS news agency, an unnamed emergency staff said that Missi’s body was discovered on the hallway of the residential building located in the center of Moscow. Based on the reports I received, it looks like he took his own life.
There was no explanation on why Janis decided to take his life but as per state media TASS, a phone allegedly containing some last words of the of the basketball player was found next to his corpse. One Ren TV source mentioned that his mobile bore the unusual words “Anya, please call” as well.
Anya is the nickname of Timma’s ex wife Anna Sedokova, who in an announcement this fall confirmed that she had filed for divorce after four wonderful years and had her 42nd birthday the Monday before this event.
