Kah and her fiance Clayton Douglas, a fellow jockey and trainer, have a property on the Mornington Peninsula, where she re-trains retired racehorses.

They have each been fined $5452 for breaching the directions of the Chief Health Officer.

The four jockeys, who are all in isolation, have been banned from race meetings for 14 days meaning Kah and Melham won’t be racing Group 1 Memsie Stakes favourites Behemoth and Beau Rossa respectively at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday.

Jamie Kah’s partner is Clayton Douglas. Clayton, like his companion Jamie, is a professional jockey. They are not only partners in their personal lives but also in their working lives. Jamie and her partner Clayton are soon seen competing in a variety of races with considerable prize money. There isn’t any information about their relationship, such as how long they’ve been together, but they do own a property on the Mornington Peninsula where they train their retired horses.

Suspension:

Star jockey Jamie Kah has issued a statement regarding her involvement in a COVID protocol breach this week.

Kah apologised for attending a house gathering at a Mornington Airbnb property, with fellow jockeys Ben Melham, Ethan Brown and Celine Gaudray also present, along with two other unlicensed people.

The Melbourne premiership-winning jockey said she was ‘deeply embarrassed’ over her behaviour.

Ben Melham:

Star jockeys Jamie Kah and Ben Melham will miss the spring carnival after being hit with three-month bans for an illegal gathering in Mornington.

The multiple Group 1 winners, along with young guns Ethan Brown and Celine Gaudray, copped the sanction on Friday following a closed stewards inquiry.

It comes as the quartet was fined more than $5000 by Victoria Police for the breach of Chief Medical Officer directions.
