Deuce:

I believe that. You take you a deuce, you don’t sit there and look at it. You flush it and move on. We are going to flush it and move on.”

Despite not having his best game, the second-year quarterback owned up to the loss. Hurts took responsibility for the Eagles dropping a divisional game, and his reasoning for moving forward was entertaining. During his postgame presser, Hurts compared the loss to ‘taking a deuce.’ The local media had a good laugh with it, but the native Texan is moving forward.

“You take you a deuce, you don’t sit there and look at it,” Hurts said. “You flush it and move on. We gonna flush it and move on.”

Eagles fans are and will continue to be angry, upset, and embarrassed by Monday night’s loss to the Cowboys. But at least they’ll be able to smile after finding out that Hurts compared the Eagles’ performance to poop, because let’s face it, that’s exactly what it was.

Trevon Diggs:

Jalen Hurts threw a pass intended for DeVonta Smith, his former teammate from Alabama. Smith fell to the turf while running his pattern.

Instead, it wound up in the hands of Dallas DB Trevon Diggs, who could have waltzed the 59 yards in front of him to the end zone.

Hurts was benched at halftime in favor of Tagovailoa with the Crimson Tide trailing 13-0, and Tagovailoa led a comeback in a 26-23 overtime thriller. Hurts had 2,081 passing yards, 855 rushing yards and 25 total TDs as a sophomore, but Tagovailoa won the starting job the following season.

Sucks:

Yesterday’s practice was likely the worst so far this training camp, with some having said it was among the worst in the last several years for Philadelphia’s offense.

The focus of blame on the Eagles’ offense was on Jalen Hurts. Hurts had severe accuracy issues with one interception and almost throwing another one shortly after.
