Paul said on In Depth with Graham Bensinger (via TMZ Sports) that he has had cognitive problems since entering the world of professional boxing.
“I notice it in conversations with my girlfriend or friends, like, not remembering something that I should be able to remember that happened a few days ago,” he said. “…sometimes in my speech, where, like, every hundredth or two hundredth word, I’ll slur or, like, slur, which I didn’t do before.”
The 24-year-old has had four professional fights and one exhibition contest. He is slated for a rematch with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on Saturday in Tampa, Florida.

Paul’s GF
The YouTube star-turned-boxer Paul has been dating Julia for more than two years and has previously hinted that the pair were about to get married.
But last month he tweeted: “Alexa play “I’m Single” by Jake Paul, a nod to the voice service that can play music tracks on demand, indicating that their relationship was over.
The 25-year-old quickly deleted the tweet but the gossip website Page Six reports that she is in fact single and has been released.

Paul amassed huge wealth from his career on the streaming platform YouTube, which helped him rise to fame with brother Logan.
His 2021 debut began with a blistering battle with Askren over a Triller card which is expected to earn him an estimated $10m after selling a successful number of pay-per-views.
Paul faced former UFC champion Woodley in a bumper event on Showtime pay-per-view, which is estimated to have generated around $15m in stars.

He was due to return to the ring earlier this month, but saw matches against Tommy Fury and then Hasim Rahman Jr. Fury was denied entry to the United States before Paul pulled the plug on a conflict with Rahman Jr. after a row over the weight limit.
Paul, who fought for the sixth time in the professional ranks, has not named his opponent but has said he will have a professional record last weekend and the fight will take place at 185lb. Paul has previously fought at 190lb, but sees his long-term future at the light-heavyweight limit of 175lb. On Wednesday, he simply tweeted: “Rival signed. October is mine.”
