Jake Odorizzi earns first win as Astro

Between injuries and shaky outings, 2021 has been off to a rough start for Jake Odorizzi. He showed a glimmer of hope on Wednesday, though, as he recorded his first win of the year. He allowed three runs on three hits and a walk over five innings against Boston while striking out six batters.

Fantasy Impact

Odorizzi is now 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA, so it’s still too early to trust him from a fantasy perspective. With that said, Wednesday was a step in the right direction. At the very minimum, he’s done enough to remain in Houston’s rotation for the time being.
