Manchester United will be represented again today as Bruno Fernandes’ Portugal side face off against Belgium in a tantalising clash between two of the pre-tournament favourites. Diogo Dalot could also feature after being a late call-up to the squad.
England’s tie with Germany is getting closer, with Harry Maguire training for a second day in a row yesterday after missing training on Thursday. His teammate Jadon Sancho continues to be the subject of transfer speculation, as a fee has now been agreed with Borussia Dortmund.
2020
England forward Jadon Sancho has vowed to seize his chance if he is finally thrust into action against Germany in Tuesday’s Euro 2020 last 16 showdown.
Regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young stars, Sancho is expected to make a blockbuster move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United before the start of next season. But that pedigree is yet to convince England manager Gareth Southgate to turn Sancho loose at the European Championship.
