Contract
The Pistons have signed lottery pick Jaden Ivey to their rookie scale contract, the team tweeted. The Purdue point guard was selected with the No. 5 overall pick. Ivey’s deal, assuming the typical 120% of the rookie scale, will be for four years and $32,951,083. His first year salary, under those terms, would be $7,252,200.
Injury update
Jaden Ivey was ruled out of the Pistons Summer League matchup against the Wizards on Saturday with an ankle injury.
Ivey was attempting a 3-pointer just five minutes into the game when he landed on Isaiah Todd’s foot. Todd was called for a Flagrant 1 foul and Ivey made all three of his free throw attempts before leaving the game.
