NBA Draft

Ivey is a high level athlete and an exceptional defender with some intriguing NBA level equipment. He has long arms and very quick hands and can defend 1-3. On the offensive end he is best at using his quickness, leaping ability and length to move the ball into the lane and score in the paint.

He struggles to shoot the ball from deep and is just average from the FT line, but he has shown improvement and is on his way to completing his attacking game. His shot looks good and he will just need to be more consistent and more efficient. On the defensive end Ivey is a weirdo on the ball keeper who really gets after it. He hounds the opposing ball handlers and applies constant pressure to the ball. He reads passing lanes very well and is a good help in defense. Ivey had a great freshman season at Purdue, getting better and better as the season progressed. He is on track to become a lottery for the 2022 NBA Draft pick and could break into the top 5 if he continues to expand his game.
