Is muslim
Israel Adesanya was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1989 to a Christian family. However, as per the childhood biography, he does not follow any religion. Adesanya has on several occasions posted tweets that suggest his skepticism about Christianity.
Who won
Israel Adesanya wins by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 50-45).
It was one of the more dull fights in the history of the UFC Championship, but it just goes to show how tough Israel Adesania is to beat. Now it is over and both fighters will feel good, as both were barely touched. It was the right decision, but it certainly wasn’t fun to watch.
UFC 276 will have the middleweight championship on the line as title holder Israel Adesania takes on No. 2 Jared Cannonnier for the belt at UFC 276 Live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Back tattoo
Adesanya himself designed the tattoo on his back. He has mentioned earlier that he wanted this tattoo to pop out and be sad. It is a large Japanese-style dragon, a crocodile dragon, as the fighter wanted it to have an African touch. He calls the tattoo “Kunta Kinte”.
Which coincidentally corresponds to a fictional character. Avobe was a character in Alex Haley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Roots. The Kunta was sold to an American owner. However, he objected to both his slavery and the name “Toby” given to him by his master.
Who has beat
As of writing (as of Tuesday 14 June 2022), Adesanya has not lost in the UFC, competing in the 185-pound middleweight division.
Adesanya debuted for the company in 2018, defeating Rob Wilkinson in his first competition in the 185-pound division.
Since then, The Last Stylebender has beaten some good names on the UFC roster, including Robert Whitaker, Anderson Silva, Marvin Vettori, Joel Romero, and Calvin Gastelum.
Adesanya currently has only 1 loss in his UFC record, which came against Jan Blachowicz in the 205-pound UFC light heavyweight division.
