Staph
Former lightweight champion McGregor was one of several social media users who noticed a scar on Makhachev’s leg in a promotional photo taken at the beginning of fight week. The Irishman has had a long-running feud with the Russian team, the most infamous of which is his coach Khabib Nurmagomedov.
And he used the potential injury as an excuse to fire another shot at Makhachev’s camp, writing in a now-deleted social media post: “Staff again.”
McGregor added, “It stays with the innate staff though.” “This team is infected, make no mistake. Scruff Balls. I believe whatever you want. “He still beats Dustin in first.”
Loss
Islam Makhachev is scheduled to defend his lightweight title against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294. The two men will face each other in the highly anticipated rematch of their all-action clash from UFC 284. If Makhachev is victorious, it will be his second UFC title defense. ,
Additionally, this would make him the only fighter to defeat Alexander Volkanovski twice and serve as a testament to his skill. So, it’s no surprise that the Dagestani phenom has been a dominant force for most of his MMA career.
However, while his mentor and childhood friend Khabib Nurmagomedov retired undefeated, Makhachev’s record is blemished by a single defeat. On October 3, 2015, he fought Adriano Martins. This was Islam Makhachev’s sophomore UFC fight, and it didn’t even last two minutes.
