The actress was on cloud nine Monday while celebrating fiancé Ime Udoka’s new head coaching gig in Boston. Long took to Instagram to share a smiling selfie while dressed in a symbolic Celtics No. 18 jersey.

Long was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Talita Long (née Gillman), a teacher and printmaker, and Doughtry Long, a high school teacher and poet. Her mother is of Trinidadian, Grenadian and Bajan descent. She has an older half-sister, the actress and comedian known as Sommore.

Brad Stevens wasted no time retooling the Boston Celtics roster after the playoffs at the Brooklyn Nets.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics have hired Nets assistant coach Ime Udoka as their new head coach.

Press Conference:

Udoka replaces Stevens, who moved from head coach to president of basketball after the departure of long-time general manager Danny Ainge.

Udoka was assistant coach of the Nets in the 2020/21 season under the first head coach Steve Nash. He also spent one season with the Philadelphia 76ers (2019-20) under former head coach Brett Brown and seven seasons as assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs under the Gregg Popovich regime.

Today:

A seven-year veteran, Udoka also brings significant gaming experience as a career journeyman, having coached the Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers (then trained by Hall of Fame head coach Phil Jackson), New York Knicks (then trained by Hall of Fame chief) Larry Brown), Portland Trail Blazers (then trained by Atlanta Hawks interim head coach Nate McMillan), Sacramento Kings (under Hall of Fame Guard and then head coach Paul Westphal).
