Shesterkin made his professional and KHL debut in the middle of the next 2013–14 season, being recalled from MHK and on 20 January 2014, in a 5–3 loss to HC Ugra, relieving Alexei Ivanov in the final 8 minutes for Spartak. concluded. Injury Update
Igor Shesterkin and Alexander Georgiev combined for 28 saves and the New York Rangers beat the San Jose Sharks 1-0 on Friday night to register their fifth consecutive win of the season.
Shesterkin began the game and was helped out of the ice at 5:08 of the third period with an apparent right foot injury after diving a save and rebound during a scrum in front of the net. He was unable to put any weight on his right leg.
