Personal life
Tomasz, Witek’s father, was a former Olympic rower.
Together with Caty McNally, witek won the girls’ doubles title at the 2018 French Open and the girls’ singles title at the 2018 Wimbledon as a junior.
After appearing in her first WTA final and the fourth round of the 2019 French Open, witek started competing regularly on the WTA Tour in 2019. At the age of 18, she broke into the top 50.
Mother and father
Tomasz and Dorota Swiatek welcomed Iga Swiatek into the world on May 31, 2001 in the Polish city of Warsaw.
At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, her father, Tomasz, competed for Poland in the men’s quadruple sculls as an Olympian rower.
