Death Cause
Peter Malnati admits he didn’t know fellow PGA Tour pro Grayson Murray well, but after Murray’s death Saturday at age 30, Malnati went on the CBS broadcast of the Charles Schwab Championship and, occasionally, Couldn’t. Don’t talk through her sobs.
A young professional’s loss evoked emotions in the small community of professional golfers and was perhaps more hurtful for Malnati because he had played the first two rounds at Colonial Country Club this week with Murray, who walked away. He was five over par on the course Friday with two holes left in a round. The reason given for the visit was “illness”. Murray’s cause of death has not been made public.
