For starters, Allen has a five-minute (!) compilation of dirty plays and moments on YouTube from his time at Duke. This alone shows that there is a track record here.

It took several dirty plays for Duke to get into action, but eventually, in 2016, Allen was suspended “indefinitely” for trying to trip up an Elon player to get to the basket. .

It was a far cry from the first instance—it was his third tripping incident, in fact—as he was caught tripping last season to a Louisville player. He also had a few other low-light moments, like throwing a random hip check on a fast break against North Carolina that resulted in a Flagrant 1 foul.

Embarrassingly, Allen’s “indefinite” suspension lasted only one game.

However, this trend did not end after he joined the NBA.

In the NBA’s 2019 Summer League, Allen was kicked out of a game after inflicting not one, but two, major fouls on Celtics forward Grant Williams.
