Friday nights are cold and quiet. In what could be the start of a fun rivalry, the Bulls and Bucks are pulling it out. Sneakers are squeaking against the hardwood floor, basketball is being played, and all is well with the world. That is, basketball was on your mind until a fight broke out per se.

In the first four matchups, the Bucks may have defeated the Bulls, but the outcome of the game was hardly the main story. That’s because Milwaukee’s infamous bottom-of-the-bench mainstay Grayson Allen just had to make an appearance (in a terrible way) of himself and couldn’t help himself.

After making a career of “sensible” hands (and feet) sleigh in college at Duke, Milwaukee’s proud eighth man relied on his usual moves against Chicago and top sixth man Alex Caruso.

Foul on alex caruso

Six to eight weeks with a fractured right wrist as a result of play.

According to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, no decision has been made yet. How. NBC Sports Chicago’s Johnson also provided more information:

Caruso was driving for a lap in the third quarter of his team’s 94-90 road loss to the Bucks on Friday. Allen ran back to play defense but Caruso collided midair before hitting him in the head on the way down the court.

Hard Foul

Caruso finished the game and later told reporters that he had a pain in his wrist. Unfortunately, the official diagnosis could put him out for two months.

It is a major blow to the Bulls’ team that will already be without point guard Lonzo Ball for six to eight weeks with a meniscus tear in his left knee.

Allen’s foul also attracted the ire of Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, who said the Bucks guard’s actions could have ended Caruso’s career:

Caruso is in his first year with the Bulls after four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averages 8.4 points, 3.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
