Injury Report
Milwaukee Bucks injury report update reveals defensive stalwart Jew Holiday’s availability ahead of marquee clash vs. Warriors.
Jury Holiday has been an integral part of the high-flying bucks this season. The 31-year-old has averaged 18.4 points, 6.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. Furthermore, he averages 1.6 steels per game, which is right up there in the steels leaderboard.
It’s no secret that the Bucks are just a better defensive team when it’s on the court. To put things in perspective, the team has a defensive rating of 108.8 when it’s on the court, and 110.5 when it’s off it, which is almost dead in the league.
Predicted Lineups
The Golden State Warriors have been a team on a mission this year. After crashing out of the playoffs over the past two seasons, the Warriors were eyeing the championship in the 2021–22 campaign. The dubs got a big boost as their other sharpshooter, Klay Thompson, was set to return after sitting out for two and a half years. They were playing great without him on the floor.
Thompson, 31, played his first game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and quickly proved he was going to be a vital piece for the Warriors going forward. He scored 17 points which included a monster dunk that drove the chase center insane. Moving into the game against the Bucks, the team will be hoping for a strong comeback after their loss against Memphis.
Starting 5s
Drummond Green has been pitted against the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls for back-to-back appearances and most likely for the entire road trip.
The Golden State Warriors have lost 1 place to the Phoenix Suns after a disappointing loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The road trip hasn’t started on a positive note for him. Stephen Curry made a poor shot from the ground despite a triple-double.
Steve Kerr decided to use him more than the ball and it was clearly a bad decision. Klay Thompson is currently on a one-minute ban and Drummond Green has not played the last few games. Unless Stephen Curry continues to play at the same MVP level as before, his chances of staying at the top are slim.
January 13th, 2022
The Bucks are likely to make changes to the starting lineup used against the Hornets in their previous outings. Grayson Allen may return to start with Wesley Matthews, while Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis will complete the rest of the lineup.
Pat Connaughton, Jordan Navora, Deontay DiVincenzo and Rodney Hood are likely to get the most minutes among the reserves.
