On March 20, 2007, Glen Davis held a press conference to announce that he would be skipping his senior season at LSU and enrolling in the 2007 NBA Draft. On March 20, 2007, it was reported that he had signed with Performance Sports Management’s agent John Hamilton to represent himself.
Davis was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics as the 35th overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft. The rights to Davis and Ray Allen were traded to the Boston Celtics for the rights to Delonte West, Wally Szerbeek and the 5th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Jeff Greene.

Davis had his best statistical season in 2012–13 with the Orlando Magic, averaging 15.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. In 514 career NBA games, he averaged 8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Davis was a McDonald’s All-American who was one of the top high school players in the country before attending LSU. In 2006, he led the Tigers to their first Final Four appearance in 20 years, as well as earning SEC Player of the Year honors.
