German Marquez signed a 5-year/$43,000,000 contract with the Colorado Rockies, which includes a $1,500,000 signing bonus, $43,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $8,600,000. In 2021, Marquez will earn a base salary of $7,500,000, while the total salary will be $7,800,000.
The deal, first reported by ESPN, is pending a physical and has not been confirmed by the Rockies. According to the source, negotiations on the contract are going on for about a month.
