Venom 2

A hilarious new promo for Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage sees Eddie Brock (and his other half) move in with National Football League (NFL) star tight end, George Kittle, and things did not work out well for this (very) odd couple. The new commercial coincided with ESPN’s airing of Monday Night Football and tied in with the fact that Venom is set in San Francisco, where Kittle is a multi-Pro Bowl tight end who has more receiving yards in the first three years of his career than any other tight end in NFL history.

The conceit of the commercial is that Kittle wants to get an apartment in San Francisco that is closer to the stadium than his current place (which is a bit misleading, since the 49ers actually play in Levi’s Stadium, which is in Santa Clara, over 40 miles from San Francisco) and since rents are so crazy, even a star athlete like Kittle needs to get a roommate, but regrets the decision when Eddie Brock and Venom move in with him. The commercial cleverly mixes together footage from the film to add Kittle to the scene, like when the alien symbiote is cooking Eddie breakfast, Kittle is now there, as well.

Net Worth

George Kittle is an American football tight end for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. Kittle played college football for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.

In 2018, Kittle set the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end, with 1,377, and earned his first Pro Bowl selection in the process. As of 2021, George Kittle’s net worth is $2.69 Million.

Loss

The San Francisco 49ers lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football to the tune of 30-28 after a game-winning 51-yard field goal by kicker Mason Crosby as time expired.

One of the key plays for the 49ers down the stretch came on 3rd & 10 at their own 25, when George Kittle caught a pass over the middle from Jimmy Garoppolo and muscled past defenders for a huge 39-yard gain, setting up an eventual touchdown.

49ers

George Kittle embodies the 49ers’ ideals, the NFL’s high-energy, the tight end position’s all-around potential and, as many companies are learning, the power of a  positive-speaking pitchman.

All of which made Kittle a natural choice for the following question-and-answer session. He and his wife, Claire, have settled into a new home outside of Nashville, complete with a three-story barn that’s morphed into a state-of-the-art workout facility. That’s for the offseason. He’s rented a new townhome near the 49ers’ facility, ditching an apartment where his upstairs neighbor, Nick Bosa, wasn’t the quietest fellow.
