Geno Smith: Contract 2023| Fantasy outlook| Pick for Week 10

Eugene Cyril “Geno” Smith III (born October 10, 1990) is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in West Virginia, led the Mountaineers to several bowl games, broke several passing records, and received several awards before being drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. After two inconsistent seasons as the Jets’ starting quarterback, Smith eventually lost his starting position due to injuries in his final two years with the team. He then spent time as a backup for the New York Giants, Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks before making an unexpected career resurgence as the Seahawks’ starting quarterback in 2022.

Contract 2023

Geno Smith: Contract 2023| Fantasy outlook| Pick for Week 10

After a worry-filled season, the Seattle Seahawks may already have their QB1 for 2023 in Geno Smith. The challenge is that Smith will be a free agent after this season and is due for a massive raise from his $3.5 million salary.

What would a new contract for Smith look like if the Seahawks are looking to extend the veteran quarterback? Brock Huard of ESPN 710 Seattle believes the Seahawks should wait until the end of the season before signing Smith to a long-term deal. Assuming Smith continues his stellar play, Huard speculates that Smith could sign a new two-year, $30 million contract with the Seahawks.

“Give me the rest of October and early November,” Huard explained on October 13, 2022. …Two-year, $30 million deal [with] $20 million guaranteed. Give Geno significant money, but make a deal where it doesn’t deter you from drafting someone in the top 10 if that’s someone you love.

Fantasy outlook

Smith has finished QB13 or better in 6 of his last 7 matches. Josh Allen is the only QB to have more top-13 finishes in that period. Smith travels to Germany on Sunday to face the Bucs, who have finished just 23rd in the Football Outsiders Pass Defense DVOA over the past 5 weeks – although they are recovering in the secondary.
We break down Geno Smith’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Seahawks’ Week 10 matchup against the Buccaneers.

While each NFL season is brimming with its share of surprises, hardly anyone can predict what the Seattle Seahawks are showing us on a weekly basis. Geno Smith is the motor that drives this offense through nine weeks of action, and he has a chance to take the Seahawks to greater heights against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10.

Pick for Week 10

Geno Smith and Tom Brady have thrown three touchdown passes in a game only once this season. In Germany, Zeno defeated TB12 and recorded three passing TDs against Buchs’ fifth-ranked pass and scoring defense.

Brothers Dalvin Cook and James Cook face off for the first time in the NFL when the Vikings visit the Bills on Sunday. The family has a great reason to celebrate, as each hits a speedy touchdown in the game.

Despite all the buzz about the Las Vegas crime, it is the defense that steps into Week 10. Last in the NFL with only five takeaways in the season, the Raiders D scored four turnovers to force Vegas to win on Jeff Saturday — leading the Colts.

If someone had predicted before the season that the Seahawks would have a better record than the Bucks after nine games, his sanity would be questioned. But here we are. Geno has a nice ring in Germany, doesn’t he? The veteran QB would throw for a pair of scores and Kenneth Walker III running back rookie would run two more, with the Bux allowing 30-plus points for the second time this season.
