Eugene Cyril “Geno” Smith III (born October 10, 1990) is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). Coach Todd Bowles unannounced – walked into the press room of the New York Jets and went straight to the podium. Journalists were immediately called to the news conference. It was supposed to be a quiet day in the Jets’ world: a light exercise before their first preseason game, followed by regular questions from the media.
By the time of lunch there was silence.
As the journalists gathered, one of them asked Bowles if it would be something worth recording. he nodded.
