Barcelona have advanced to the Europa League quarter-finals after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Galatasaray in the round of 16 second leg in Istanbul. Barca started the game very poorly and found themselves behind, but responded well and left a very intense atmosphere with two good goals to win in the Turkish capital and a place in the last eight.

Blaugrana continued to play well in the 20 minutes after Aubameyang’s goal, but did not manage to make a real change to score a third and put the tie to bed. Because of that, Galatasaray felt they could still get an equalizer and began to increase the pressure again, leading to some very tense moments as we entered the final 15 minutes.
Things got even more complicated after five minutes, when play had to be halted when several bottles of water were thrown from Jordi Alba’s stand at the touchline. The Galatasaray players were able to pacify the fans, and the last minute went ahead.
Barca managed to survive and take over the environment in the final seconds, and the final whistle came to send them into the quarter-finals. It turned out to be a tighter tie than expected and Barca have never played to the standard shown in La Liga until recently, and they will have to play better in the next round to continue their quest for the trophy.

Brazilian defender Marco gave Turkey the lead in the 28th minute with a diving header from a corner.
Pedri scored a fine individual goal for Barcelona, receiving a pass from Ferran Torres and leaving two defenders on the floor with great skill and tucking home close.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led against the post before the break and the former Arsenal striker put Barca three minutes ahead in the second half after two superb stops by Galatasaray goalkeeper Iaki Pea, who is on loan from the Spanish club.
