Interview:
Gabriel: I was, I was pretty excited when I saw the Avs started slipping.
Cause it was one of my favorite teams growing up. They’ve always been a team that I’ve been watching and keeping an eye on.
When I saw them starting to lose, you obviously never want a team to lose and do bad, but that was the one team that I was crossing my fingers and kinda hoping for. It worked out well.
MHH: A lot of people on the website, we have meme’s and one of them was “Losing for Landeskog”, so everytime they lost we were like “Getting closer”.
Wife:
Avalanche left wing Gabe Landeskog said Tuesday that he is hunkered down with his family in Toronto, where his wife is from, and if he had to be isolated with one teammate during the coronavirus pandemic, it would be defenseman Erik Johnson.
Center:
The NHL expansion draft is Wednesday,
a great day for puck heads who know a fantastic addition to the league when they see one.
Seattle’s going to be a major hit as a hockey town. Shoot, it took only a matter of minutes for the Kraken to unload 4,000 tickets for an expansion draft watch party.
Son:
Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon,
who left midway through the third period in Wednesday’s game at San Jose with an apparent head injury, participated in Friday’s morning skate and has been cleared to play against the Anaheim Ducks at Ball Arena.
MacKinnon will again center the top line with wingers Gabe Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen,
a trio that combined for three goals and nine points in Wednesday’s 4-0 win against the Sharks.
