Frances Tiafoe is an American professional tennis player. After a promising junior career, he made a slow and steady transition to the main tour from 2015.

Affectionately known as “Big Foe” by friends, rivals and fans, his jovial personality and big game have earned him a huge following. He won his first, and so far only, title at the 2018 Delray Beach Open. He has been a runner-up on two other occasions, at the Estoril Open in 2018 and the Vienna Open in 2021.

Twin brother:

Frances Tiafoe has a twin brother – Franklin. The two were born on January 20, 1998, in Maryland, to Constant (better known as Frances Sr.) Tiafoe and Alphina Kamara, immigrants from Sierra Leone.

They have a wonderful friendship and are extremely supportive of one another. Franklin described Frances as a focused child who knew how to ignore outside distractions. Franklin, on the other hand, was diametrically opposed. He was a wild child who frequently got himself into mischief.

Franklin never had a regular coaching relationship despite his brother Frances becoming a star athlete. He would practice alone instead. He still aspired to become a professional tennis player, but due to his reputation as a troublemaker, he felt that no one took him seriously.
