Barcelona will face Mexican giants Club America in a friendly at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on December 21, the LaLiga club announced on Friday. The game will be Barcelona’s last before the winter break and is scheduled just a day after they host Almeria in LaLiga action.

Club América, the team with the most Liga MX titles, has already been confirmed champion of the concluding championship regular season, and will be the top seed in the playoffs, which will conclude a week before playing Barça.
These two clubs have played each other before – and in Dallas. The first time the two teams played was during the famous North American tour of 1937, and the most recent game between the two sides was 12 years ago in August 2011 (also in Dallas).
