Practice times
The brand new nature of the track was evident from the start, as car after car overshot Turn 1 on its first flying lap.
Leclerc was the first to turn around, along with Yuki Tsunoda of AlphaTauri, while Leclerc’s teammate Sainz suffered a major spin at Turn 4.
