Ken to Play vs Senator
Wednesday, November 9
Joe Yarden of the Associated Press reported that Kane will play against the Ottawa Senators.
Injury latest setback in Kane’s career
Ken is in his second season with the Sabers after a disappointing six-year stretch with the Winnipeg Jets.
The fourth overall pick in the 2009 draft recorded more than 20 goals in just one season, which came as of the 2011–12 30-goal campaign.
While his production was inconsistent, attitude issues soured his relationship with the Jets, forcing the team to trade him to the Sabers in February 2015 while he was on the injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury.
He missed the rest of the 2014–15 season but last year recorded 20 goals and 15 assists in 65 games for the Sabers.
Despite a change of scenery and good performances in goal scoring, off-ice issues followed Kane.
Will play
The very first thing you should know about Evander Kane is that he is a very good hockey player.
If you’re getting by on a reputation burned by one or two good years of competing at the NHL level, you don’t sign a total of $80.8-million contracts. Man can play games.
However, the other thing you should know about Kane is that he is a well-travelled NHLer – currently playing for the San Jose Sharks, the third organization that earned him the most in his 12-year NHL career. Appointed – for good reason
Wife
The NHL issued a statement on 22 September rewriting their investigation.
The press release revealed that the NHL found “no evidence to support the allegations, or allegations that Mr. Kane made any attempt to negatively affect his club’s games.”
“The allegations made in a social media post by Mr Kane’s wife, Dina, were thoroughly investigated by Patterson Belknap Webb.
Net Worth
Over the years, Kane began to perform better and better, but injuries affected his pace as he suffered multiple injuries, including a left knee injury as well as an arm injury. Nevertheless, he had proved himself to be a valuable asset to the team and would agree to a six-year contract in 2012, worth $31.5 million.
