The Epsom Derby 2022 is due to start at 4:30pm on June 4. The first race on the card is scheduled for 2pm the same afternoon and aces will also be held on Friday June 3. The main race featuring on Friday is the Oaks, where three-year-old fillies will compete in a Classic race of the same length as the Derby.

Stone Age, with Oaks-winning jockey Ryan Moore on board, was among six horses aimed at Epsom by O’Brien, but now only Chester winners Star Of India and Changingoftheguard will join him.
Peter Brant, who part-owns Stone Age and has won the Kentucky Derby as both an owner and breeder, said O’Brien knows what it takes to deliver glory.
