“Hey, thanks for all the messages,” he wrote. “Enzo is awake / alert and resting in the hospital. He has a fracture in his right heel but thankfully is much better than we all expected.

“Thank you to the FIA, the team and all the medical staff here in Saudi Arabia.”

French teenager Porchare tweeted on Sunday night that he is “well globally,” adding: “At the moment I don’t know if it’s the end of the season for me already.

“But the most important is not that, it was really huge and Enzo is injured. I wish him the best of recovery”.

Condition

The FIA ​​has provided an update on the condition of Formula 2 racers Enzo Fittipaldi and Theo Porchare, who were taken to hospital after a crash at the start of Sunday’s feature race in Saudi Arabia.

The statement confirmed that Porchare was discharged from the hospital on Sunday evening after tests showed there were no problems.

Fittipaldi remained in the hospital overnight for observation after a fracture in his right heel and a wound on his left eyebrow, but was said to be “making good progress.”

He was born in Miami in July 2001 and moved from karting to Formula 3 in 2021 with Charouz Racing.
