Having won the Africa Cup of Nations with victory over Egypt in the final last month, getting the job done in this play-off would mark a sensational period for the star-studded Senegal side.
Mane’s Senegal emerged victorious in Cameroon to finally win his country the AFCON title following a dramatic penalty shootout.
But in Friday’s first-leg it was a different story. A fourth-minute own goal by Senegal goalkeeper Saliou Ciss was enough to give Egypt a first-leg 1-0 win in Cairo.
